AGATHA CHRISTIE - SPARKLING CYANIDE, published by Collins, copyright 1945, FIRST PRINTING (says "Copyright -- Printed in Great Britain -- 1945" on copyright page with no references to subsequent printings, lists to "Death Comes As The End" on list of Christie books to left of title page, redish orange boards with black lettering on spine. Book has a couple of creased page corners next to each other (looks like from poor storage not prior reading), no former ownership markings or used book store marks/stamps/stickers inside, clean endpapers - no tape staining or markings, no foxing to pages or endpapers or outer page edges, slight age darkening/dust soiling to outer page edges, no internal spine splits, no spine lean, tight white pages with sharp corners, no wear to board edges or corners or spine tips, only slight spine sun fading (common defect with these orange board Collins books), hardly any of the usual dust handling soiling to boards, no significant stains/discoloration to boards, no wear/loss to black spine lettering, no bumped board corners. Book also comes with a color fascimile of the UK 1st issue Dust jacket to provide protection from damage and to improve its appearance on a shelf. Overall a FINE- book of a scarce WW II era UK Agatha Christie 1st printing. I have a number of other U.K. and U.S. Agatha Christie 1st printing hardcover books up for sale.
