16th Century Italian School - Saint Joseph with the Child

Descriptio Oil on canvas. This imposing work from the 16th century Italian School depicts St. Joseph with the Child, a composition that captures the protective and loving character of the patron saint of carpenters. The central scene stands out for the position of St. Joseph holding the Child, surrounded by cherubs that frame the paternal interaction. The light is concentrated on the main figures, creating a chiaroscuro effect that emphasizes the spirituality of the moment, while the warm tones and vibrant details in the clothing reinforce the majesty of the scene. In the background, a representation of the Virgin Mary in a contemplative attitude can be seen, immersed in a serene environment of soft landscapes. The frame, richly decorated with gilded elements, underlines the importance of the work and inscribes it in the mannerist tradition of its time. Measurements: 154 x 122 cm (with frame), 125 x 83 cm (without frame). Located in international warehouse.
