1760 Voce Populi Halfpenny. Nelson-3, Zelinka 7-E, W-13930. Rarity-3.

1760 Voce Populi Halfpenny. Nelson-3, Zelinka 7-E, W-13930. Rarity-3. No P, VOOE POPULI. EF-45 (PCGS). Lovely medium olive-brown with somewhat lighter devices. Generally smooth, glossy and uniformly boldly defined over both sides, this is a premium quality example. Aside from trivial old verdigris, there are no faults. A minuscule planchet striation is evident at the obverse border near 1 o'clock, tiny patch of natural roughness behind the base of the harp. As pretty as one could hope for at the assigned grade level, a stellar example to represent this easily identifiable Guide Book variety in the Voce Populi series. Provenance: From the Emerald Coast Collection. Earlier ex our (Stack's) sale of the Louis E. Eliasberg, Jr. Estate, March 2010, lot 2068; Coin Rarities (John Agre), March 5, 2010; our sale of the Carolina Colonial Coin Collection, November 2016 Baltimore Auction, lot 5040. PCGS# 265.
