1857 Flying Eagle Cent. Type of 1857. MS-63 (PCGS). CAC. OGH.

1857 Flying Eagle Cent. Type of 1857. MS-63 (PCGS). CAC. OGH. Lustrous and softly frosted in finish, the surfaces are attractively original in tan-gold and rose-brown patina that has a slightly woodgrain distribution on the obverse. Lack of detail here and there around the peripheries is not unusual in a Select Mint State example of this short-lived small cent design type. The surfaces reveal no post-production blemishes of note and approach Choice quality in terms of preservation. Provenance: From the Emerald Coast Collection. PCGS# 2016. NGC ID: 2276.
