1869/69 Indian Cent. Snow-4, FS-303. Repunched Date. MS-65 RB (PCGS).

1869/69 Indian Cent. Snow-4, FS-303. Repunched Date. MS-65 RB (PCGS). This is our finest offering to date for the 1869 Snow-4 dies; most of the few that we can recall handling have been in circulated grades, generally VF or EF. This variety is also significantly rarer in an absolute sense than Snow-3, and it is described by Rick Snow (2014) as, "...closer to looking like an overdate that the S3 and is probably one of the dies mentioned in Breen's Encyclopedia as being the [1869/69] overdate." Toned in gently mottled rose-brown, the surfaces of this handsome Gem retain plenty of warm autumn-orange mint color. A sharply struck, uncommonly well preserved example for the advanced Indian cent variety enthusiast. PCGS Population: 3; 0 finer in this category. PCGS# 148717. BASE PCGS# 2095. NGC ID: 227T.
