1886-S Morgan Silver Dollar. MS-64 DMPL (PCGS).

1886-S Morgan Silver Dollar. MS-64 DMPL (PCGS). Brilliant and minimally marked surfaces allow ready appreciation of bold cameo contrast between the fields and devices. One of only 750,000 examples of this semi-key date issue struck. The 1886-S is moderately obtainable in the certified Prooflike category, due to the inclusion of a few hundred examples with that finish in the LaVere Redfield Hoard. Deep Mirror Prooflike 1886-S dollars are another matter entirely - rare with only 73 grading events in the PCGS DMPL category. This is our first offering for a DMPL example in more than a decade. PCGS Population: 19; 5 finer in this category (MS-65 DMPL finest). PCGS# 97171. NGC ID: 254X. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
