1937 Walking Liberty Half Dollar. Proof-68 (PCGS).

1937 Walking Liberty Half Dollar. Proof-68 (PCGS). This enchanting specimen exhibits delicate iridescent sandy-silver overtones to virtually pristine surfaces. Overall fully struck with a universally mirrored finish from the dies. The second Proof installment in the Walking Liberty half dollar series, and also the second rarest after the 1936, the 1937 is a key date issue in this popular 20th century series. In Proof-68, as here, the 1937 is an important condition rarity that is the province of the most advanced collectors. Provenance: From the Mack C. Chase Collection. PCGS Population: 25; with a single Proof-68+ finer. PCGS# 6637. NGC ID: 27V5. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
