RARE Historic Bottle NETUM - Cantina Sperimentale di Noto - 1950s Sicilian Fortified Wine - Licence No.44 Extremely rare bottle of NETUM produced by Cantina Sperimentale di Noto (Syracuse, Sicily) - Ente Morale Consorziale Autonomo. This experimental winery was founded for Moscato di Noto and closed in the 1970s. This bottle is from the mid-1950s with original Licence No.44, featuring awards: Gran Premio Milano 1906, Bruxelles 1910 and Gold Medal Tripoli/Conegliano 1927 printed on label. Original label with Torre Pizzuta, symbol of Noto. Original state tax seal present. Original gold metal screw cap. Fill level excellent for age - high shoulder / into neck. Label readable with age-related marks, typical for 70-year-old bottle. No vintage printed - dated circa 1955 based on licence number, tax seal type and label graphics. Pre-DOC wine (before Italian DOC law 1963). From private cellar in Portopalo di Capo Passero (SR), stored in dark cellar for 60 years. A museum / collector piece, never appeared at auction before, impossible to find online. Ideal for collectors of historic Sicilian wines and Moscato di Noto. Condition as per photos.
