The Velocette Thruxton epitomises the pinnacle of British craftsmanship in the field of sporty single-cylinder motorbikes. Derived from the Viper and the Venom, it was designed for competition, featuring a 500 cm³ engine with a special cylinder head and an Amal carburettor, and could reach speeds of up to 190 km/h. Its meticulous finish, rigid frame and exemplary handling have made it a legendary motorbike, prized by Tourist Trophy riders. The last great achievement of the Velocette brand before its demise, the Thruxton symbolises English elegance and mechanical precision.
