1970s-1980s High Times Counterculture Magazines

Description: Item/Description: Grouping of original vintage issues of High Times magazine, a counterculture periodical founded in 1974 by Tom Forcade. The collection includes notable issues such as the November 1979 "Women in Rock" issue featuring Debbie Harry, the January 1980 "Hawaiian Weed", and the April 1980 "Future Drugs" issue. These publications document the evolution of cannabis advocacy, alternative politics, and late-20th-century pop culture. Each magazine features its characteristic bold masthead and vibrant, illustrative cover art printed on standard mid-grade newsprint and glossy paper wraps. The graphics showcase the era's distinctive psychedelic and airbrushed design aesthetics, coupled with provocative headlines that define the counterculture movement of the period.
