2016 Domaine François Raveneau - Chablis - 1 Bottle (0.75L)

Domaine François Raveneau – Chablis 2016 A particularly beautiful and highly sought-after bottle of Domaine François Raveneau Chablis 2016, sourced from one of the most prestigious and hard-to-access producers of Chablis. Domaine François Raveneau has built an almost iconic reputation with Chardonnay from Chablis. Production is small and the wines are known for their mineralità, precision, complexity and exceptional ability to evolve in bottle. The Chablis 2016 is the village cuvée of the domaine, but produced at a level that fully reflects Raveneau's reputation. In a tasting of the 2016 series this wine was described as layered, palate-filling and very classic, with fine acidity, a slightly salty character and striking depth. 2016 was also an unusually small yield for Raveneau due to frost, hail, drought and sunburn. Details: * Producer: Domaine François Raveneau * Wine: Chablis * Vintage: 2016 * Appellation: Chablis Contrôlée * Region: Burgundy, France * Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay * Type: dry white wine * Contents: 750 ml * Alcohol: 13% * Bottled on the estate in Chablis * Original yellow wax capsule present and intact * Front and vintage label in neat condition * Fill level appears good for its age * See the photos for the exact condition of bottle, labels and capsule Raveneau ranks among the most sought-after names in Chablis and even ordinary Chablis is seriously sought after by collectors. The 2016 combines roughly ten years of bottle age with the further aging potential for which the domaine’s wines are known. A very attractive bottle for serious Chablis and Burgundy collectors, but of course also a special wine to drink. The photos are part of the description.
