For this reason, the cuvée is released on the market several years after the standard vintages, in order to guarantee the complexity that the celebrated statesman so appreciated. Produced exclusively in the finest vintages and in limited quantities, this cuvée represents the noblest and most powerful expression of the Pol Roger Maison. --- Grape Varieties and Winemaking Details Although the exact blend is a closely guarded secret by the Pol Roger family, it is known that the Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill is made exclusively from grapes sourced from Grand Cru classified vineyards. The cuvée is characterised by a clear predominance of Pinot Noir, the grape variety that gives the wine its renowned structure, breadth and robustness. Chardonnay, used in a smaller percentage, adds elegance, finesse and a delightful freshness. The grapes come from the most prestigious crus of the Vallée de la Marne, the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims.
