Description of the Lot and the Winery Founded in 1971 by Giovanni Neri, Casanova di Neri winery is one of the brightest and most prestigious stars in all of Montalcino. Worldwide famous for its stratospheric scores and for the millimetric precision of its wines, the company combines a manic attention in the vineyard (with rigorous optical sorting of the grapes) with a style capable of highlighting the richness, cleanliness, and vibrant fruit of Sangiovese. The Brunello “Etichetta Bianca” is the winery’s calling card, an iconic wine that expresses the perfect synthesis of several historic vineyards owned by the property, located in strategic positions on the north and southeast slopes of Montalcino. The 2021 vintage is regarded as an outright masterpiece for Tuscany (classified 5 stars by the Consorzio). A growing season of regular, balanced development gave the grapes a lively acidity and extraordinarily fine, silky tannins. Less muscular than usual but infinitely deep, Etichetta Bianca 2021 spent about 43 months maturing in large oak barrels, followed by a long bottle age. An indispensable piece for both collectors and investors. Tasting Notes Color: Very bright, deep ruby red. Nose: The bouquet is an explosion of elegance. Notes of crunchy cherry and forest berries merge with citrus nuances (orange zest) and herbs of the Mediterranean scrub.
