2024 Jérémy Carteret "Euphoria" - Burgundy Hautes-Côtes...

A high-altitude white signed Jérémy Carteret The Euphoria white 2024 comes from the Jérémy Carteret estate, based in Monthélie in the Côte de Beaune, Burgundy. This wine is made from Chardonnay from a high-altitude plot (around 300 meters) located in Fussey, on the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune. This elevated position, cooler and later-ripening than the slopes of the Grand Côte, allows slow grape maturation and preserves a lively acidity, a guarantee of freshness and tension. Terroir and grape variety: the expression of Burgundian Chardonnay Planted on well-drained calcareous soil, the young Chardonnay vines (massal selection) yield a crystal-clear and elegant wine, far from opulence. The work in sustainable viticulture (close to organic, without certification) and careful winemaking practices (direct pressing, aging in barrels) fully express the terroir of the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune. Style and tasting profile The Euphoria white 2024 features a pale, bright color, a fine, fragrant nose where white fruit, citrus, and white flowers mingle, with a mineral touch typical of calcareous soils. On the palate, the wine is taut, precise, and balanced, with lively freshness and a persistent finish. It is an accessible yet refined white, perfect for lovers of characterful Burgundy whites. Food pairing This Burgundian white pairs perfectly with seafood (oysters, shellfish), grilled or lightly sauced fish, roasted poultry, or fresh-structured cheeses. Its minerality and freshness also make it an excellent choice for an aperitif or to accompany mild Asian dishes. Aging potential and serving Although already very enjoyable to taste, the Euphoria white 2024 has a aging potential of 3 to 5 years if stored properly (cool cellar, away from light and vibrations). It should be served chilled, at 10–12°C, in a white wine glass to release all its aromatic complexity.
