It is considered a stone of peace, and it is believed that its calming effect induces tranquil dreams and connects the dreamer with the Divine. This clarity and serenity also benefit the waking mind, aiding the flow of thoughts in mental and metaphysical realms. Spiritualists often carry it with their oracle instruments, such as Tarot cards. Amethyst is the zodiac stone of Pisces, ruled by Jupiter, and it is the February birthstone in both traditional and modern lists.
