An Ernst Plank I Gauge Clockwork Locomotive. Crafted in Germany around 1900. A hand painted tinplate clockwork "Union" locomotive In original box, with tender, two (2) passenger cars, and one (1) trailer car. The roofs of the passenger cars are hinged and can be lifted up to insert the passengers, with glass window panels. Winds up and functions well. Includes original winding key, three (3) painted passengers, twenty two (22) pieces of track, two (2) signal posts. In original box, with serial "Nr. 8001/2" and track example labels on the sides of the lid. 26 1/2 x 15 x 4 1/2". Condition In condition consistent with age and use. Some minor paint flaking in places, may display some minor denting, scuffing, scratches, etc. The original box has been reinforced and repaired.
