A.D.P. Agencia Difusion Presse

Ernesto “Che” Guevara — Cuba, 1960 Impactful press portrait of Ernesto “Che” Guevara, taken in 1960, in which he appears smoking a cigar and looking directly at the camera. The strength of the framing, the concentrated expression and the characteristic gesture turn this image into a portrait with great visual presence. Compared to action or volunteer work photographs, this image stands out for its iconic and psychological character, showing Che in a very recognizable close-up during the early years of the Cuban Revolution. The back preserves the stamp of A.D.P. – Agence Diffusion Presse, Paris, which confirms its provenance as a photograph intended for editorial circulation and international press.
