A DIVISION ONE BOAT SCENE UNDER GLASS BUTTON

1 RARE 18th C. hand painted Mica and WAX under glass example. Here is a very rare example of 18th century craftsmanship. The base under glass is made of Mica and hand painted, the soldiers in the boat are made of WAX and hand colored. The rim is copper and the back is the typical tin back of the 18th century. This button is pictured in the Colorful World of Buttons by Bruce's grandmother Vivianne Beck Ertell on plate 14 number 22 (Pictured). A fine and rare example to find indeed.
