A European gilt-thread drawstring purse, probably late 17th or early 18th century, the softly structured, tapering pouch formed from a dense metallic-thread textile, its surface falling into pronounced folds towards the rounded lower end, the gathered opening is edged with metallic braid and threaded with braided drawcords, the ends embellished with clusters of small, rounded ornaments covered in interlaced metallic thread, further clusters decorate the lower body, with a pendant cluster at the base, the interior is lined in pink textile, (probably silk), 11 x 10cm approximately
