A large German repoussé silver dish or Schauplatte, Augsburg...

A large German repoussé silver dish or Schauplatte, Augsburg, likely late 17th century, of large oval form in repoussé with chased detail, with a broad floral border and undulating rim, the central oval reserve depicts a semi-draped female figure in a woodland landscape, holding flowers and accompanied by a dog - the combination of these elements suggest an allegory of the sense of smell, with pseudo hallmarks, c.1670–1705, 52.45 cm diameter, 36 ozt
