A lot of 6 bronze crosses (No reserve price)

A lot of 6 bronze crosses 15th-18th c. A fine lot of six bronze cross pendants of varying sizes and designs, each featuring an integral suspension loop. The collection includes crosses with broad rectangular arms, flaring terminals, and more elaborate examples with stepped and pointed ends. Several are decorated with cast geometric patterns, linear borders, and religious motifs, including representations of the Crucifixion and stylised inscriptions. The crosses vary in proportions and ornamentation, reflecting different traditions of Christian devotional jewellery. The crosses are in excavated condition, with age-related surface wear, green and brown patina, scattered encrustation, and minor losses to decorative details, yet retaining their recognisable shapes and religious imagery. An appealing collection of historical Christian bronze pendants, ideal for collectors of religious antiquities, post-medieval devotional jewellery, or archaeological metalwork. 4.9 cm largest Belgian collection, acquired in 1980s. Certificate of authenticity enclosed. Shipping inside EU only.
