A Meeting Place - Rachel McCullock

A Meeting Place by Rachel McCullock Painting 19.7 x 19.7 :: Inspired by a recent trip to Africa McCullock has employed her innovative use of mixed media to create this highly textured contemporary painting. Showcasing a mixture of rich of brown gold and ochre pigments for the dramatic landscape. Contrasting pearlescent inks and high gloss resin have been artfully employed to create a dazzling lake. Colourful tribal figures with their heavy burdens are painted impasto with a palate knife. The result is a 3 dimensional image designed to deliver a wow factor. Presented on a sturdy wooden panel in order to fully support the myriad of texture. The sides of the panel have been painted in order to alleviate the need for framing.
