A Museum Specimen - XXL Giant Size - Giant Douvilleiceras...

Giant Douvilleiceras Ammonite – Madagascar An exceptionally proportioned fossil: this ammonite of the Douvilleiceras genus, from the Early Cretaceous of Madagascar, stands out for its imposing size and for the extraordinary preservation that highlights its details. The shell, massive and majestic, shows the typical radial ribbing and nodular tubercles that make this genus one of the most distinctive and recognizable in the entire world of ammonites. The spiral growth, amplified by colossal dimensions, conveys a sense of power and ancient vitality: each whorl is a fragment of history, each relief a signature left by time. With over a hundred million years of age, this fossil is a monumental testament to the evolution of marine life. Specimens of such size are extremely rare, and their presence in the most prestigious collections underscores the scientific and aesthetic importance they hold. A piece capable of dominating the space in which it is displayed, a focal point for any natural history collection, museum, or cabinet de curiosités.
