A Pair of Romantic Wedding Rings in High-Carat Rose Gold from Our Workshop

In earlier times, jewellery always had a meaning and conveyed a message. Even in ancient times, rings with two right hands lying inside each other were symbols of love and friendship. They are still known today in the goldsmith's art under the term "fede" rings, from the Italian "mani in fede" (roughly: "hands in faith"). These rings were gifts between lovers and were intended to express their togetherness. This motif was revived in the Renaissance. Some early examples have been preserved in the museums of decorative arts; the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, for example, has a small selection that you should definitely take a look at. A beautiful example is the ring with the inventory number M204-1975 from the 15th century. In our search for beautiful inspiration for our goldsmiths, we liked the idea of rings with two hands, not least because they are so catchy and expressive.
