A SET OF FOUR LOUIS XVI BLUE AND WHITE PAINTED WALNUT FAUTEUILS BY ADRIEN PIERRE DUPAIN, CIRCA 1775 One fauteuil stamped 'A.P. DUPAIN', upholstered in yellow silk Damask fabric 94cm high, 65cm wide, 69cm deep Adrien Pierre Dupain, maitre on 10th December 1772 Condition Report: Marks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Some old splits and chips. The upholstery generally in good useable order but with some fading, thinning and small areas of fraying. All chair frames solid and stable with only minor movement to the arms. The painted surface with variable wear from use some fragmentary loss and flaking but a pleasing colour and tone.
