A Vienna porcelain bust of Ludwig van Beethoven Closed bust-length biscuit porcelain portrait on a moulded column base, inscribed BEETHOVEN. Engraved 18 CF 56 on the reverse, stamped 'bindenschild' mark on the underside of the bust alongside an incised mark and impressed no. 38. The base with stamped 'bindenschild' and 862, impressed no. 2. Height 41 cm. Vienna, Imperial Porcelain Manufactory under Alexander Löwe, model by Christian Frank, 1856, the base 1862.
