AESTHETIC WHITE ORTHOCLASITE with SHINY ZINWALDITE and...

From our selection of collectible minerals, we offer a splendid group of Orthoclase crystals with Zinnwaldite and Quartz from Baveno, a famous locality in Piedmont. Moreover, it is characterized by tabular Orthoclase crystals of the typical white-gray color, adorned with shiny lamellae of zinnwaldite with golden reflections and small quartz crystals, in a set of shapes and color contrasts that enhance its aesthetic value and mineralogical importance. The specimen stands out for the quality of crystallization and for the overall aesthetic balance, with features that enhance its natural structure and visual impact. Baveno is one of the world-class localities for large orthoclase crystals, to such an extent that the famous twinning with the pyramidal face typical of this deposit is aptly called the 'Baveno law'. Zinnwaldite is aniron-rich lithine mica described for the first time at Zinnwald/Cínovec, on the border between Germany and the Czech Republic, from which it derives its name. The granites and pegmatites of the Verbano-Cossio-Ossola region have provided for centuries splendid specimens of alkali feldspar, today highly sought after by collectors worldwide. This is an ideal specimen for mineral collections, display, and for those who appreciate the natural beauty of minerals, also in the context of crystal therapy and lithotherapy, according to the properties traditionally associated with the mineral species. All minerals are 100% natural and untreated, except for rare exceptions always indicated in the description. The photographs are taken with professional lighting to best highlight colors and details; however, slight variations in shade may occur depending on the device or ambient light.
