Agricultural cart with reinforced structure, Spanish Popular School

Descriptio Carved and assembled wood with wrought iron fittings. An antique cart designed for agricultural transport and rural cargo, constructed with a robust, open rectangular frame supported by large spoked wheels with metal rims. The piece retains its original chains, rings, and hitching systems, reinforcing its functional and ethnographic authenticity. The surfaces exhibit deep wear, cracks, erosion, and oxidation from decades of continuous use, creating a complex historical patina of great visual richness. The remnants of faded polychromy and the open grain of the wood contribute a powerful material and decorative expressiveness that emphasizes its folk character. The design reflects traditional 19th-century Spanish rural carpentry models, conceived to withstand intensive work in rural contexts through simple and resistant construction solutions. The nobility of the aged materials and the solidity of its silhouette make this piece an exceptional testament to traditional agricultural culture and a remarkable object of decorative arts with ethnographic significance.
