Alejandro Gonzalez - ABSTRACCIÓN MODULAR 368 - XL (No Reserve)

Modular Abstraction is a pictorial series that investigates the possibilities of geometric language through repetition, rhythm, and the articulation of visual modules. Each work is built as a closed structure yet open to multiple readings, where flat shapes and defined outlines compose an autonomous visual system. Painting is presented here as a surface of inscription, where simple figures — rectangles, triangles, semicircles — are assembled into unique combinations, evoking architectural structures, symbols, fragments of possible alphabets. The compositions do not refer to an external reality but propose themselves as self-sufficient entities, capable of generating meaning through formal order. The use of restricted palettes — with one or two accent colors and neutral backgrounds — intensifies the perception of balance and contrast, while fine black lines delineate the planes with precision, reinforcing an aesthetic of restraint and clarity. The absence of textures, gradients, or volumetric effects allows each module to retain its identity while contributing to an organic totality. In a world saturated with images and stimuli, Modular Abstraction offers a visual pause: a contemplation of order, of boundaries, of the infinite possibility concealed in the minimal. Each work is a system, a unit, a visual score that presents itself as a silent enigma to the viewer. Unique large-format work 100 x 70 x 2.5 cm.
