Fine four-volume set from the Bibliothèque de la Pléiade, Gallimard, bringing together three major French authors: Alexandre Dumas – The Three Musketeers – Twenty Years After, edition edited and annotated by Gilbert Sigaux. Volume No. 159 in the Bibliothèque de la Pléiade. Printing completed on 29 April 1966, on Bolloré Bible paper, Imprimerie nationale de Monaco. Gérard de Nerval – Œuvres, Volume I, text established, presented and annotated by Albert Béguin and Jean Richer. Printing completed on 20 September 1966. Gérard de Nerval – Œuvres, Volume II, text established, presented and annotated by Albert Béguin and Jean Richer. Printing completed on 24 June 1961. Paul-Louis Courier – Œuvres complètes, text established and annotated by Maurice Allem. Volume 59. Printing completed on 7 September 1964 on Bolloré Bible paper. The four volumes retain their illustrated dust jackets. State particularly remarkable for Pléiade volumes of this period. The flexible leather bindings are in very fine condition, with the spine gilding especially fresh and luminous. The interiors are in an exceptional state of freshness, nearly like new, with paper very clean. The jackets show only slight marks and signs of wear, mainly in their lower portion, with no major defects visible. They remain in a very good overall condition considering their age. An especially appealing set due to the freshness of the volumes and their interiors, difficult to encounter in this condition for copies dating from the 1960s.
