Alexandre III bridge by Zelie Alice Painting 23.5 x 31.5 :: Pont Alexandre III is one of the most iconic and opulent bridges in Paris admired for its Art Nouveau elegance and intricate details. Widely regarded as the most extravagant bridge in the city it features ornate lamps gilded nymphs and majestic sculptures that add to its grandeur. She often passes by this bridge on her walks along the Seine drawn to its timeless beauty and the way it reflects the spirit of Paris. In this painting she captures a poetic moment at sunset where the dramatic sky swirls with hues of purple orange and gold mirroring the rich tones of the bridge's architecture. The silhouette of the elaborate street lamps and sculptural figures stands in striking contrast against the glowing sky evoking a sense of nostalgia and wonder. The bold brushstrokes and vibrant color palette bring warmth and movement to the scene transforming this historic landmark into a dreamlike composition. By emphasizing the interplay of light and shadow she conveys the bridge’s romantic atmosphere and its ever-changing presence in the city’s landscape.
