Alfa Romeo 1900 Super, "The family saloon that wins races" POINTS FORTS • Owner of the seller for 20 years (second hand) • Complete prior restoration (original Swiss vehicle) • Optimized engine preparation (forged pistons, lead-free fuel conversion, electronic ignition) • Eligible for major historic events: Tour Auto, Mille Miglia, Monte-Carlo Historic Rally and Carrera Panamericana • Matching numbers - matching colour HISTORIQUE/PRÉSENTATION Presented at the Paris Salon in 1950, the Alfa Romeo 1900 marks a major turning point for the Clover badge with its monocoque structure and its double overhead cam engine. The 1900 Super version, introduced in 1954, features a displacement increased to 1,975 cm³ developing 90 hp, offering a sedan that is both elegant and sporty. This 1957 example, of Swiss origin, has been in its current owner's possession for 20 years (second hand). CARROSSERIE/PEINTURE The bodywork sports an original period red shade. The paint is about ten years old. No heavy filler or thick bodywork. The car is fitted with additional front lights and its specific chrome trim and hubcaps. INTÉRIEUR See photos. MÉCANIQUE The mechanical side has benefited from several upgrades and refurbishments: • Engine fitted with forged pistons, valves suited for lead-free fuel, and electronic ignition. • Complete refurbishment of the running gear and braking system.
