The clasp is sterling silver with inlays of cubic zirconia. A unique and exclusive gift. No two are alike. We will send a jewelry case from our CRATER brand for an ideal presentation of this jewel, plus a stainless steel chain as a gift. Indochinites like the one in this lot were formed by the impact of a large meteorite 800,000 years ago, according to the most recent studies. The collision was brutal, so molten material covered 10% of the Earth’s surface, with indochinites even found in Antarctica. Tektites are natural glass objects formed by the impact of large meteorites on the Earth's surface. They are the driest minerals known, with an average water content of 0.005%, although most have formed due to impacts underwater. It has also been found partially melted zircon within some tektites. This, together with the water content, suggests that tektites formed under extremely high temperature and pressure (similar to what is required to form diamond). We are members of the leading international associations related to meteorites, so we guarantee for life the authenticity of all our meteorites and jewelry made with this material.
