Ammonite - Fossilised animal - Collection of 5 Ammonite...

Beautiful and highly decorative collection featuring six genuine natural fossils, individually suspended at different heights from a custom black metal display frame. The collection includes a diverse set of marine fossils: five varied ammonite specimens—ranging from polished cross-sections revealing rich internal chambers ( Cleoniceras and Desmoceras) to a whole specimen with fine, detailed ribbing (Perisphinctes)—and a fossilized sea urchin featuring its characteristic star-like pattern. The specimens showcase an extraordinary palette of natural hues, including warm honey, golden amber, cream, earthy beige, and deep brown tones, highlighted by intricately mineralized patterns and detailed suture lines. Ammonites were ancient marine cephalopods that dominated the prehistoric oceans, while sea urchins represent echinoderms whose delicate skeletons fossilized into solid stone over tens of millions of years. Together, they form a fascinating window into ancient marine biodiversity. Suspended delicately by fine metal wires on small cradle mounts, the specimens float at offset levels across a sleek horizontal T-bar frame. The sturdy circular black metal base provides perfect stability while giving the piece a clean, dynamic, museum-grade aesthetic. Combining prehistoric natural history with refined contemporary design, this unique composition makes a striking centerpiece for a cabinet of curiosities, private fossil collection, executive office, or modern luxury interior.
