From the Private Collection of the Late of Photography Historian and Curator, Thomas Michael Gunther, III, Paris, France "André Ostier was involved in and wrote about the changing mores of art and society at the end of the twenties and the beginning of the thirties...[His] photographs of the artists, writers, aristocrats, fashion designers, actors, opera singers, ballet dancers and other public figures who, Parisians by birth or by adoption, celebrated the City of Light in their works and in their fêtes confirm the prominent role Paris has played in the cultural and social history of the twentieth century." - Thomas Michael Gunther, André Ostier: Masques et Bergamasques (1988) Overall very good condition; tiny spot lower margin and few negligible marks in the margins only visible in raking light; not examined out of frame.
