Andrea Giorgi - Creation

Andrea Giorgi was among the TOP 10 sculptors of 2024 and among the TOP 50 artists out of 129,000 in 2025 on one of the leading online platforms specializing in art sales. Biography: Andrea Giorgi (1974), born in Italy, initially an interior designer for 10 years and then an interior designer for megayachts for 12 years, was one of the first Italian digital artists to exhibit his works at international fairs and exhibitions from 2008. Some of his artworks decorate the luxurious prestigious yacht salons. One of his works was purchased by Ferrero, thus becoming part of an important private collection of international contemporary art. Since 2016 also a digital sculptor, his sculptures are scattered worldwide. Andrea Giorgi was one of the first sculptors to sell on Catawiki, founded in 2016 with his boxers, the characters emerging from magazines and walls, his reticular sculptures, all sculptures that today many artists on Catawiki and other platforms offer in variants and reinterpretations. Generally opposed to much of the current pop art street art trend of too many artists today who buy sculptures (unfortunately often Chinese) to then color them and add famous logos without at least stating that they did not create the sculpture, Giorgi designs all his sculptures entirely with 3D techniques, which he then prints in Italy with various technologies (from the simplest and cheapest plastic jet to the more complex and expensive laser prints). The laser sculptures are then hand-coloured by the artist. Finally he collaborates with a renowned Italian foundry for the production of his most exclusive series, the lost-wax bronze sculptures. Unlike most contemporary artists in search of quick success who try to maximize the number of pieces to invent and sales, Giorgi’s philosophy learned from years working in the luxury world is “LESS IS MORE.” His annual production and sales are deliberately very limited, both for the production of new pieces and for weekly sales on Catawiki. Furthermore, today it is almost impossible to purchase something at auction without a reserve price. This is due both to the high production cost of most sculptures that does not allow for “overselling,” and to safeguarding the value of sold sculptures. In this way the sculptures end up in the hands of collectors who almost never resell them unless after several years, and only non-speculative purchases are avoided. Andrea Giorgi’s sculptures are also virtually unobtainable as they are currently an exclusive of Collection, a contemporary art gallery founded in 2015 by Giorgi himself, which handles works by young promising Italian and European artists as well as works by established artists including Rabarama, Walter Valentini, Piero Gilardi, Aubertin, Roberta Coni, Annalù Boeretto, Salvatore Provino, Paolo Radi, Ceribelli, Giuseppe Amadio, Riccardo Gusmaroli, Giorgio Gost, Invader, Kaws, etc. If you want to learn more about the artist’s entire artistic activity, visit the sites giorgiandrea.com and collectiongallery.it Certificate of authenticity Provenance: COLLECTION, Contemporary Loft Art Gallery, Ancona, Italy Shipping method: insured international courier WARNING, we cannot ship to Russia-Belarus and China UNPAID LOTS: unfortunately, due to the increase in cases of won but unpaid lots, Collection has decided to entrust debt collection to its own law firm. Catawiki now provides all data of non-paying buyers (previously covered by anonymity) upon request of the seller, so we will take action against them, charging all legal costs.
