Andrea Roux (XX-XXI) - L’anatomia dell’ombra

Large-scale oil painting on canvas from a private collection. Hand-signed by the contemporary artist Andrea Roux and bearing a double gallery stamp. Title: The Anatomy of the Shadow Dimensions: 70 x 50 cm Year: 2026 Andrea Roux was born in Nice in 1989 to an Italian-French family and lives and works in Italy. His oil painting focuses on the face as an emotional and symbolic space, through large close-ups in which the eyes, lips, and fragments of the face take on iconic power. Inspired by European classical tradition and Italian chiaroscuro, Roux builds images suspended between contemporary figuration and memory, where the gaze becomes the center of a silent and intense tension. His work is expressed in the series “Custodi dello sguardo.” www.instagram.com/lagalerie991/ NB: The artwork will be shipped in a sturdy tube suitable for shipping.
