Andrea Sguario - Ora

OW is a unique and original work by Andrea Sguario, an Italian contemporary artist born in Soave (Verona) in 1991, who lives and works in Verona. Created in 2023 on canvas, the work measures 113 × 118 cm (height × width) and is presented with an elegant white frame. It is signed, titled and dated on the back by the artist, as documented in the photographs. The composition unfolds through three dominant color fields — black, red and white — that meet, overlap and dissolve, giving rise to an intense visual dialogue. ORA represents a reflection on inner time and the mutable nature of emotions: a moment that contains contrasting sensations, suspended between presence and dissolution. The work expresses Sguario’s pictorial language, characterized by spontaneous gesturality, chromatic intensity and an introspective search. The artist has deepened his training at the Scuola d’Arte Brenzoni and the G.B. Cignaroli Academy of Fine Arts in Verona, participating over the years in initiatives and exhibitions dedicated to contemporary art. ORA was selected for the XIV edition of the Combat Prize in 2023, receiving, according to the biography published on Arte Laguna World, a special mention from the jury. The work is also cited in the artist’s career as an expression of his exploration of time and fleeting emotions. In September 2025, ORA was presented at Lucca Art Fair, a fair dedicated to modern and contemporary art, through Moho Gallery, an art gallery based in the province of Udine. The participation marks another step in the exhibition journey of the work. The autograph signature, title and date of realization are present on the back. Being a unique original painting, no edition numbering is provided.
