Anoniem - [Nederlands] Manuscript sheet from a Book of...

Original large manuscript - 14th century - parchment - 19 x 14 cm. Condition: although over 600 years old, the condition is good; the parchment has a stain in one of the corners. Elements that determine its value: rarity, quality of age, and attractiveness... a top item in any serious collection. These 14th-century manuscript leaves come from a Dutch-language prayer book. The text is written in brown and partly red ink, with red and blue ink indicating the initials, and some initials are decorated with penwork. In the margin the page is beautifully embellished with penwork. All the text on this page is handwritten.
