Antique Chinese Famille Rose Teapot - Late Qing Dynasty - Teapot - Porcelain

A beautiful and highly decorative antique Chinese famille rose porcelain teapot, complete with its original porcelain lid and distinctive twisted metal swing handle. Probably dating to the late Qing Dynasty or early Republic period, circa 1880–1920. The teapot features a generously rounded body, a wide opening, an elegantly curved pouring spout and a traditional metal swing handle attached to two porcelain lugs. The exterior is beautifully hand-painted in delicate famille rose enamels, featuring an attractive variety of traditional Chinese floral motifs. The decoration includes elegant peonies, lotus blossoms, flowering branches and delicate garden flowers, executed in lovely shades of pink, turquoise, green and orange. The floral compositions are gracefully arranged across the white porcelain surface, creating a harmonious and refined appearance. An interesting feature is the six-character iron-red seal mark within a square border on the underside, executed in traditional Chinese seal script. The teapot is complete with its original porcelain lid, a desirable feature for collectors of antique Chinese teaware. Condition: Excellent antique condition, with natural signs of age and use, including some surface wear and discolouration around the foot rim, opening and lid.
