Antique Silver Bangle with Mediterranean Corals, Italy c. 1910

Antique Silver Bangle with Mediterranean Corals, Italy c. 1910

This bracelet takes us back to a summer over 100 years ago. The sun is already low on the horizon over the Bay of Naples. A light breeze is blowing from the sea, the lemons are in bloom, and in the shade of the stretched canvas, the weary travelers from the north gaze out over the smooth water. How far away is the rain-soaked homeland with its obligations, work and toil. How beautiful and carefree life is here! The bracelet consists of three rows of Mediterranean coral. The design presents the marine treasures in parallel and individually drilled on silver wire. The corals are of a particularly good quality, their color is intense and red: their color is also known as "Sardegna" coral. The corals are accompanied by cords and mounted on silver. A perfect piece of jewellery for anyone who dreams of Italian summers all year round - a true vacation bangle!
