Antique Trilogy Ring with Sapphire & Diamonds in Silver & Gold, c. 1920

Rings with three gemstones have a special meaning: they are also known as "trilogy rings". The three gemstones stand for a shared past, present and future, united in one piece of jewelry. The diamonds, as particularly hard and therefore durable gemstones, stand for eternity, while the sapphire, as a blue gemstone, was once regarded as a symbol of loving fidelity. In this ring, the combination of radiant old-cut diamonds and the strong blue of a natural sapphire creates a harmonious composition in cool, festive colors. The gemstones are set in silver, while the ring band is made from high-carat yellow gold, adding a certain warmth. This easy-to-wear ring, which we discovered here in Berlin, was created around 1920, as can be deduced from its design and the materials used. It impresses with its individual gemstones and the beautiful floral ornaments that add a playful touch to the piece.
