He is renowned for his black and white portraits of well-known creatives. Corbijn shoots with a slow shutter speed to capture gestures and movement in a unique style of photography capturing both imperfection and personality. His distinctive approach of creating black and white photos using grainy film became an important part of our visual culture. Since the 1980s Anton Corbijn has cemented Depeche Mode's cutting-edge reputation as the world's biggest cult band. He is considered the visual heart of Depeche Mode and U2, responsible for record covers, stage settings, music videos and all photographs.
