Art Nouveau (1900-1920) - Germany - Mother of Pearl - Silver - Pendant

Lovely German antique 800-silver pendant set with a large oval mother-of-pearl cabochon. At the top, the mounting is adorned with stylized floral motifs (roses) and graceful scrolls (volutes), which transition into a finely worked, stepped edge surrounding the stone. Mother-of-pearl is known for its soft, iridescent luster that reflects light in a unique way. Stamped with the silver mark “800.” Length of the pendant is 5.0 cm. Weight is 4.40 grams. After decades of careful collecting, I have decided to part with (a part of) my collection. I want these special objects to find a place with a new enthusiast who understands the value of historic preservation. It is time these pieces receive the attention they deserve, so they can be preserved for the distant future. I will ensure extremely careful packaging and insured shipping.
