Antique Silver Mesh Handbag (Punzón 800) – Art Nouveau / Modernista Jewelry Craftsmanship Lot Description Extraordinary antique handbag (evening purse) entirely made in finely hand-woven silver mesh. Features a magnificently worked opening with engravings and reliefs of floral motifs in an Art Nouveau aesthetic, accompanied by a mouth closure with double orb and a chain of links for carrying on the shoulder or in the hand. Material: Silver (Stamp "800" visible inside the opening along with the silversmith’s mark). Approximate weight: 170 g. Bag dimensions: 17 cm x 16 cm. Total length: 35 cm (including extended chain). Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The mesh is intact, firm and without visible tears. The closure mouth works perfectly. It shows a natural patina consistent with its age and antiquity.
