Artigianale - Diorama Ligier JS2 #5 Le Mans 1975 con...

Proposed for sale a unique artisanal diorama, dedicated to the sports history of the French Ligier team and its participation in the great endurance competitions of the seventies. The composition recreates a suggestive paddock scene, with the team’s official transporter, the famous Ligier JS2 n. 5, the technical staff and numerous ambient accessories. The entire diorama is placed on a solid display base and protected by a large removable transparent display case. Saviem S45 Ligier-Maserati – 1974 The main element of the composition is the imposing Saviem S45 Ligier-Maserati of 1974, reproduced in the characteristic white and blue livery of the French team. The model presents numerous details, including: large side inscriptions “Automobiles Ligier-Maserati”; official Total sponsorship; dicitura “Service Courses”; Ligier emblems with French flag; detailed Saviem front; large glass surfaces; wipers, mirrors and headlight assemblies; accurately reproduced wheels and side panels; raised rear hatch, which makes the scene more dynamic and realistic. The model represents the Saviem S45 used to transport Ligier cars in international competitions and is made in 1:43 scale. Ligier JS2 n. 5 – 24 Hours of Le Mans 1975 Beside the transporter is placed the Ligier JS2 n. 5, in the spectacular white and blue livery with Total and Michelin sponsorships. The car reproduces the unit entrusted to Jean-Louis Lafosse and Guy Chasseuil at the 24 Hours of Le Mans of 1975. The JS2 n. 5 achieved an extraordinary second overall, finishing the race one lap behind the winning Mirage. For that edition of Le Mans, car no. 5 was equipped with the Ford Cosworth DFV V8 3-litre engine, while another JS2 entered in the competition retained the Maserati V6 engine. The model stands out for: race number 5; official Ligier white and blue livery; Ligier crests and Total lettering; Michelin sponsorship; names of the drivers on the flanks; large rear wing; top air intake; competition wheels and tires; finely reproduced aerodynamic and mechanical details; carefully finished cockpit and glass surfaces. The Ligier JS2 was produced between 1971 and 1975 as a mid-engine sports coupé, with road and competition versions. During its evolution it also used Maserati V6 engines, a central element in the history of the collaboration between the two brands. Ambience and accessories The scene is enriched by several elements that recreate the operating atmosphere of a seventies endurance paddock: two figurines in Ligier technical attire positioned beside the car; a figurine in a yellow suit; a figurine in civilian clothes; two drums customized with Ligier and Total logos; a wheel chock or barrier in yellow and black; open rear hatch of the transporter; base surface covered with a grass effect. The arrangement of the components has been studied to represent a moment of preparation and technical assistance, with the Ligier JS2 placed near the rear area of the transporter. Base and display case The diorama is complete with: rigid and stable display base; green covering with a grass effect; black perimeter edge; large removable transparent case; handcrafted composition of models, figurines and accessories. The case protects the diorama from dust and accidental contact, while allowing the scene to be observed from all angles. The composition is ready to be exhibited in a private collection, in a studio or in a space dedicated to the history of automobilism. Handcrafted assembly The components are fixed with vinyl glue, a solution chosen to allow removal or repositioning of individual elements more easily and, in general, without leaving permanent traces. This feature allows the future owner to customize the arrangement of the car, the figurines and the accessories. On the buyer’s request, prior to shipment, the removable fixing can be replaced with a permanent industrial adhesive of greater hold. In this case, the components will no longer be easily removable or repositionable. Conditions and shipping The diorama will be prepared for shipping with particular care, considering the presence of small and delicate components. To limit the risk of damage: the removable components will be separated from the base; the Ligier JS2, the figurines and accessories will be packed individually; the transporter, the base and the case will be protected separately; all elements will be placed in a suitably reinforced outer packaging. After delivery, repositioning and any new fixing of the components will be the responsibility of the buyer. The photographs of the listing can be used as a reference to reconstruct the original arrangement. If the buyer requests preemptive permanent gluing, the shipping preparation will be adjusted accordingly, compatible with the need to protect the more delicate parts. A diorama for collectors An ideal composition for: automotive model collectors; afficionados of the Ligier team; evaluators of sports cars with Maserati engines; collectors of the 24 Hours of Le Mans; afficionados of historic transporters from competitions; lovers of artisanal dioramas and paddock settings. An original piece with great presence, capable not only of telling a racing car, but the entire environment that accompanied the great teams in the endurance races of the seventies. The photographs are an integral part of the description and show in detail the composition, conditions and all elements included in the lot.
