Alla auktioner / Fordon / Artwork - Ferrari - IN CASE OF FERRARI - CLASSIC EDITION
25 x 20 x 10 cm Red wood frame, engraved plexiglass. With storage box. Limited edition 11/100. Exclusive to Catawiki IN CASE OF FERRARI reworks the iconic “Break Glass” emergency case into a bold, conceptual automotive statement. Behind the engraved plexiglass saying “IN CASE OF EMERGENCY – BREAK GLASS,” a Ferrari key rises like a sacred object, ready to be freed. The emergency here is not medical; it is emotional. The urgency to drive. The urgency to feel. The Ferrari urgency. The intense red of the frame immediately evokes Italian mythology and the DNA of the prancing horse brand. The key, the ultimate symbol of access to the automotive dream, becomes a wall sculpture. The functional object is transformed into a contemporary artefact. Fully handmade in France, by Cartist, this work showcases the meeting of minimalist conceptual art and Ferrari passion. It plays with the codes of luxury, desire, and the modern obsession with speed and status. Who is Cartist? Born from the fusion of contemporary art and automobile passion, Cartist creates unique works mixing paintings, sculptures, and installations around the world of luxury and supercars. Each piece combines iconic design with strong cultural references, using noble materials such as carbon fiber, metal, authentic car keys, or premium art prints. Cartist draws inspiration from the greatest artists and movements: Banksy, Warhol, Basquiat, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi Murakami, Kaws, Mr. Brainwash, Shepard Fairey, Richard Hamilton, Yayoi Kusama, Alec Monopoly, Pantone, Blek le Rat, but also from classical pictorial heritage. The Cartist universe revolves around brands and myths that shape our imagination: Automotive: Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, Maserati, Pagani, McLaren, BMW, Mercedes, AMG, Audi, Aston Martin, Bentley, Rolls Royce. Watchmaking and luxury: Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Richard Mille, Cartier, Omega, Hublot. Fashion and haute couture: Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Balenciaga, Off-White, Supreme. Pop culture and entertainment: Marvel, Avengers, Batman, Joker, Superman, Disney, Mickey, Scrooge McDuck, Lego, Nintendo, Pokémon, Sega. Lifestyle & consumer goods: Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Vans, Converse, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Red Bull, Dollar, Bitcoin, Ethereum. Whether for an exceptional gift, exclusive decoration, or to enrich a collection of automotive and contemporary art, Cartist works embody a hybrid art form between street art, pop art, and mechanical art, where industrial irony meets fascination with luxury and speed. Artwork delivered with frame, engraved plexiglass, Ferrari key, and certificate of authenticity. Available exclusively on Catawiki.
