August Walther & Sohne - lilli - Art Deco - Flower Frog - ca 1936. Unique, original two-piece Art Deco flower frog from the German glass manufacturer August Walther & Sohne. Made of colorless, matte-satinized pressed glass. The piece features an elegant female figure in a long gown, placed in a richly decorated round flower holder with an opening for flower stems. The model was produced in several colors and finishes. Dimensions: - Total height 17.5 cm - Height of the female figure 15.5 cm - Height of the pot 5 cm - Outer diameter of the pot 11 cm - Inner diameter of the pot 5.5 cm - Total weight 435 grams Condition: Fine, cleaned condition. The flower holder has a few small glass chipped areas along the rim. On the inside of the holder there is some rust-colored residue, presumably from a previously placed iron weight used to improve stability. A characteristic and decorative example of German Art Deco glass art from the thirties.
