Long, sweeping brushstrokes glide across the canvas, forming wave-like structures that evoke water, wind, or dunes. Each brushstroke is executed in a single continuous motion—freehand, without drawing beforehand or later corrections. The result is a rhythm that feels alive, yet never arbitrary: every wave follows its own trace, every work bears the imprint of the moment of its creation. Painted on raw, unprimed cotton canvas, the texture of the material remains visible, further enhancing the organic effect of the forms. About the artist: AVENZANO is a professional painter. He lives and works in his studio in Germany. Shaped by the elegance of Italian design, the rawness of Brazilian brutalism, and the clarity of contemporary minimalism, his works are characterized by strong graphic elements and a natural, earthy color palette. His oeuvre is defined as much by what he puts on the canvas as by what he leaves out. At the center of his work is the aesthetic concept of Wabi-Sabi: the belief that beauty lies not in perfection, but in imperfection, irregularity, and authenticity. Videos of the process of creating the works are available on AVENZANO’s Instagram account.
