B. Millner (NC, 1939-2026), Sea Grape

Millner was a North Carolina-born realist painter and sculptor who began exhibiting his work in 2002 following a successful career in business. A graduate of Davidson College and the University of North Carolina, he studied for over twenty years at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Studio School and pursued sculpture studies at Virginia Commonwealth University. Approaching photorealism, Millner’s paintings depict interiors, landscapes, waterscapes, and urban scenes, often nocturnal, with an emphasis on gritty realism and everyday details. Maintaining studios in Virginia and on Bailey Island, Maine, he exhibited widely throughout the United States and the Caribbean. His work is represented in numerous private, corporate, and institutional collections. Good estate condition.
